Symptoms of a FaceBook addict

• -       if you don’t go on facebook at least once a day you feel uneasy
• -       if you get messages from facebook saying so and so has commented on your status/photo, has liked your status/photo etc etc you get all excited and happy
• -       when you are bored you automatically go onto facebook to read everyone’s updates and look at people’s profiles

Reason no. 1 Anonymous stalking

Since being “ba gua” “ji po” “busy body” is a part of everyone’s nature. However not everyone like to disclose the fact that they are such busy bodies which is what makes facebook so addictive because it allows....

Anonymous stalking! 

You can anonymously view friend’s profile, pictures, wall posts etc etc and find out what they are up to WITHOUT them knowing!

And so a lot of time the following conversation happens

A: I just did this and this and this!

B: Yeh I know

A: How come?!

B: Facebook

A: …

B: *oh shit.. now she knows I’ve been anonymously stalking her on facebook!

But on the bright side… It’s a great way to keep in touch with old and new friends and people from all over the world without actually having to talk to them

...Except when you do you will kind of have nothing interesting to talk about lol yay for awkward silences

Reason no. 2 - great tool for gossiping

A: Ooo have you seen XXX’s new boyfriend?! Omfg so ugly!

B: Really?? No I havnt!

A: OoO I’ll show you on facebook!

B: Eww you are right! He is super ugly!

A: This ugly b**** stole my boyfriend!

B: Who?!

A: I’ll show you on facebook!

A: Hey this new chick at work is super hot!

Etc etc I’m sure those scenarios are somewhat familiar? Hahah!

Reason no. 3 - Great way to court girls and i guess guys too

Tactic 1. You are a super nerd that don’t really like going out to meet people aka *宅男zhai nan*

So you spend hours and hours searching on facebook for pretty girls to add them on facebook then you start messaging them etc etc and eventually ask them to go hang out etc So you can basically meet cute girls without ever leavin your house!

This actually works! I have a friend that met his now wife on facebook *yes you know I am talking about YOU*

Tactic 2. You see some pretty girl when you go out with a bunch of friends but you are too shy to get her number so that night you stalk her up on facebook and adds her and talk 2 her via facebook

Sometimes it gets a bit obvious/sus/creepy when they not only ask for your first name but your last name and even how to spell it

There was this guy in Bali that tried to do that but me and my friend gave him fake names! HAHAH *hope hes not reading this >.<*

Zhao Li you remember who I’m talking about right? Hahah!

And now esp with advanced technology, you can go on facebook on most phones and a lot of mobile companies offer free bandwidth when using facebook and that is another reason everyone is on facebook all the time

it's free and accessible 24/7!

Skinnovate! Iphone 4 White *cheat version*

This is going to be a rushed entry because I’m just doing a quick entry to look like I update often! Haha!

Cos I’ve been quite busy these few days with my birthday and preparing my party and working etc. so haven't post anything for a while but the next post will be a long and hopefully interesting one about my birthday and the birthday party and lots of photos etc!

Ok so this post is about my first step in beautifying my new iphone 4! Of course later I'm still gona have my bling covers added on, this is jus.. something temp for now..

I found this on ebay skinnovate carbon fibre skin WHITE

Free shipping! There's a youtube video to show you how to stick it on!

It comes with a free screen protector but I bought another one which is a privacy anti glare one.. But I screwed it up.. So what a waste of 10 dollars =(

My phone pre-skinned and the stickers and the screen guard and a little dusting cloth

There's stickers for the side and front and back! That little black bit is the apple logo

Ok so I kinda screwed up the front sticker..It was crooked when i put it on and i tried to peel it off to do it again but it sorta took some of the screen guard bits off and I basically screwed up both and had to throw away

Btw I don't really recommend the privacy screen guard cos it makes your screen darker and it's harder to see so unless u have nosy siblings or whoever peeping over your shoulder to look at your sms etc I dont really recommend this screenguard

Thats why my front is still black and boring.. but go to the ebay page I linked you earlier to see what it looks like with everything on!

And this is my phone after I applied the stickers!

Review:

They say you can use this INSTEAD of covers to protect your phone but I don't agree, maybe can prevent scratches but what about the corners? They can still get dented/scratched if you knock your phone against something.. (like the door of my locker! fml!)..Also if you drop it.. I think having a case would prevent it more from.. the shock? I don't know..

And also the side stickers.. when u brush your fingers along the side of your phone it kinda cuts your hand so I don't really like it..kind of hard to explain that one..

But other than that is quite nice.. my bf things it doesnt look that nice with the front sticker anyway.. but maybe cos I didnt put it on properly? But because it frames the screen, it makes the screen look really small

It's really easy to stick on except the front part tho.. the back is easiest to stick on! haha

Anyway when I get my bling case I HOPE it can be put over the sticker so I will have white underneath the cover

Will do another post when my covers arrive! They are being sent out tomorrow and expected to arrive 3-5 working days along with my lizlisa and shelliemay! Cant wait ^__^

Jailbreaking Iphone 101

Ok so I havn't wrote a new post for a while because I've been lazy and busy and I don't really want to post a lame useless post just to look like I'm updating constantly.. so here's a hopefully useful and interesting post for those people that is curious and knows nothing about jailbreaking

It's not like I'm an iPhone guru or some techy nerd and I know theres a million websites and blogs that talks about the exact same thing but just want to offer some of my own point of view and basic background information for those that completely have no idea about jailbreaking etc. and is too lazy to go type "jailbreaking iphone" on google and read up lengthy instructions etc

Basic things you need to know before you decide whether or not you want to jailbreak your iPhone/iPad, iPod etc etc

• once you jailbreak, you void ur warranty terms meaning if ur iDevice stuffs up then you can't send back to Apple and get a new one however.. in MOST cases if you just restore your iDevice back to factory settings the Apple people won't find out that your device was jailbroken so you can still send it back for warranty!

• If you stuff up the jailbreaking process, your iDevice might freeze, or stop to function or freak you out and make you think that omg.. now I cant even use my iDevice anymore and you might go thru hours or even days of frustration and frantic searching on google and basically you end up wanting to hurl ur iDevice across the room and.. then you REALLY cannot use your iDevice anymore -.-;

ok those are the two main things you have to prepare yourself for before you decide to jailbreak or not to jailbreak

However after you successfully jailbreak your iDevice you've basically opened up yourself to this awesome unknown jailbreak world and you can really use your iDevice to its FULL potential..it kinda cancels out all the cons.

Ok for me the most important pro for me with jailbreaking is that it allows you to change the skin/theme of your phone and basically anything and everything!

Here is a print screen of my iphone 3G Cherry Blossom Louis Vuitton theme that I made myself! And you can see the font is changed and the top left hand side I replaced the carrier name with a customised one and made all these custom LV icons on the dock.

And of course other plus factors with jailbreaking is that you can download games for free which you normally have to pay for and you can download some really cool apps from cydia that can only be used for jailbroken iDevices. 

The website I usually go to is ... modmyi.com but you can search up a LOT of tutorials out there on the internet on how to jailbreak.

Right now, jailbreaking works fine on all 4.1 versions and below but since 4.2 just came out they are still working on the programs to jailbreak 4.2 and I'm so stupid and didn't do my research properly so I upgraded my iPhone 4 to 4.2 and then realise that I can't jailbreak it properly yet so now I HAVE to wait -.-;;

NOTE: Stupid Apple makes it REALLLY difficult for you to downgrade your software! 

Anyway for those that don't know how to jailbreak, here is a tutorial from Modmyi

That is just one of the 124832814 tutorials on how to jailbreak your iDevice out there, theres a lot of video tutorials on youtube as well

or just google - how to jailbreak your iphone, jailbreak 4.1, 4.2 etc 

and seriously.. just follow simple instructions.. if you can do that then it's really easy to jailbreak!

Of course you need a decent internet because the iPhone firmwares are like..400-500MB so if you have those USB internet like me then I suggest you get the firmware off your friends or go to your parents' house and use their wifi (like me haha)

Anyway after you have jailbroken your iDevice successfully you need to download all these applications via cydia to start modifying your iPhone!

MUST download applications on cydia

Installous - is like the jailbroken version of app store to download your free games

Winterboard - to change the theme of your iPhone

Open ssh - once you install this, you can basically either via wifi or usb 'ssh' into your iDevice meaning you can browse the files in your iDevice like windows explorer or Finder and hack into the system files and change stuff like ringtones and put themes or apps you download from the net into your iDevice

Here's some must download apps from cydia

Basically.. whatever you want to mod.. just type in google or find it on youtube

Jailbreaking Iphone 101
